what is the exact error you get when trying to open the database? Also, highlight the database on your workspace then press the security button in your notes status bar at the bottom right. this will bring up your access rights to the db as well as all of the groups you are in, and any roles you are assgned to for that database. See if the group you think you are a member of shows up in the list with a check mark beside it.
